SandersCandy.com Review and Giveaway!

I have a die hard sweet tooth. Try as I might (which isn't very hard :D) I can't shake it. My weakness? Ice cream! Better yet, an ice cream sundae! Drool!
I heard about Sanders Candy after trying some of their Pe-Candy Crunch and I looked them up online to find out they are based in  MI, my home state! How have I gone my whole life without hearing about them? Especially since they have been nominated for "Best Dessert"!

Sanders Candy was started by Fred Sanders on June 17th 1875 and has since opened 57 stores, many in the Detroit Metropolitian area. Not only do they sell deliciouis candy, but many amazing dessert toppings, coffee and cocoa, and many other delightful treats.

I was thrilled to review 4 of their dessert toppings: Swiss Dark Fudge Topping, Bittersweet Fudge Topping, Butterscotch Caramel Topping, and Milk Chocolate Hot Fudge. Of course I already had ice cream stocked in the freezer so I dove right in. A small sacrifice, I assure you ;)
I actually put a single scoop in four small dessert dishes so I could try each topping all at once! Of course, my 3 yr old wasn't far behind so I shared with him. Each one was creamy and rich. I'm a huge Dark Chocolate fan and the Swiss Dark Fudge did not disappoint! Although, of the four flavors, my favorite was the Butterscotch Caramel. I had to stop myself from licking the bowl clean (insert embarrassed face here!)

Buddy Fruits Review!

 I had the wonderful opportunity to try and review Buddy Fruits. I'm always on the lookout for natural products for my kids, especially when it comes to the food they eat. I was eager to try Buddy Fruits because I knew it would be a snack that both my 3 year old and 11 month old could enjoy! Buddy Fruits are pure blended fruit in an easy to use pouch. It contains 100% fruit and nothing else!! Each pouch has one daily serving of fruit.
I look my box of different Buddy Fruit flavors with me on my vacation to Washington D.C. this past week. The packages traveled well, no spills, and no mess when my kids were enjoying them!
The Apple Cinnamon flavor was a big hit with my oldest, and my baby enjoyed the Multifruit.
Not only was the packaging super cute, but it was easy for both kids to hold. And for my 3 year old who won't eat anything fruit/veggie related, this was a fun way to sneak him something healthy! He thought he was getting a special treat, and he was but it was also good for him too!
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the Buddy Fruits line of products. They make great snacks for toddlers, and even your big kids would enjoy them in their lunch bags too!

1. Introduce yourself!
My name is Lara, I am a 34 year old mother of two boys, ages 3.5 and 10 months. I am a stay at home mom and I love it. The boys keep me busy, but we have a great time!

2.  Tell us about your store, MamaPear Designs
I describe MamaPear Designs as a marketplace for Lactivist inspired wearables, gear and more. But it is more than a store, I designed it as a place where moms can come to find breastfeeding resources and support. My goal is to increase breastfeeding awareness and sometimes that will happen when you wear one of my shirts, and someone stops you to talk about it. Other times, that happens when you empower a struggling mom with the right resources, and as a result she has a successful breastfeeding relationship and can tell/show the world how wonderful that is for her and her baby.

3.  What inspired you to start your business and online store?
I have been so lucky to have had an easy time breastfeeding my boys. With both of them, I had a little bit of oversupply and overactive let-down in the first few months, but that was not anything that was permanent or something we did not figure out how to deal with. Aside from having children, breastfeeding has been one of the best choices I have ever made - it is so empowering. Because I feel so passionately about breastfeeding, I wanted to do something that would serve to increase awareness and help other mothers succeed. As a stay at home mom, MamaPear Designs allows me to do just that!

4. What do you hope to achieve in the future with your website/store?
I would love for MamaPear Designs to be really successful, because that happening would definitely mean that breastfeeding awareness is on the rise! I would also love in the future to be able to see breastfeeding become the norm, and to never read another story about a mom getting hassled because she fed her baby in a public place either with or without a blanket on the baby's head. My next big goal is to have Oprah Winfrey do a show on breastfeeding and its benefits...I am currently devising a plan to get her attention! Time's a ticking, as she is getting ready to launch her final season in the fall!

I'm home!! And the CSN Winner is...

What a wild ride that was! I'm home from D.C. and it was amazing! I met up with my amazing LLL friends and their children and it was fantastic. It was so hot, so the zoo and the site seeing wasn't very enjoyable but the company sure was. I survived being with the kids alone :D I hope to post a few pictures soon!!

We live about 4 hours away from our family, who live in MI. While it's not terribly far, I miss my family so much! I wish my kids could see their grandparents more than once a month, but regardless of distance we are all very close!  My mom and my mother in law are some of my dearest friends, and I appreciate them so much! We talk often on the phone, and my son loves to talk to his grandparents on the phone and share with them his funny stories of the day!

iStyle Originals Review and Giveaway!

I like comfort. And I like fun. Who wouldn't?Well, why not combine the two? Well iStyle Originals has done just that!
Myself, and my two friends Rachel at Yellow Tennessee and Alison at Being Alison have teamed up for a triple review with iStyle Originals.
Right off the bat, I'm truly entertained by the iStyle Original website. The explanations are witty, and the pictures are awesome. I had my pick of anything on the website to review, and let me tell you it was hard to choose! It was between the "iRock" baby shirt or the "iDream" pillowcase, and I went for the pillow case. I thought that my oldest son, Cooper, would love it! He is rather obsessed with dreams right now, he always has an entertaining story for me in the morning. In his room, I have the phrase "Dream Big" over his bed, so I thought this new pillow case would be perfect for his room!
First, the instructions that come with your iStyle Original...HILARIOUS! And so true! I won't spoil the surprise of what they say, you'll just have to find out for yourself, but I will say that I kept the instruction sheet for future entertainment.
Cooper was excited that he got a special delivery in the mail. He wanted to put it on his pillow right away, and was a little upset I had to wash it first!
All of the iStyle Originals are 100% pre-shrunk cotton. Score one for the mom who has the worst luck with shrinking her kids clothes! The material is soft and comfortable, and the clothing is all tagless!

I'm more than a little excited about this-I didn't even know my piece would get published, so I was very happy when I got a shout out from my LLL girls about this!
