Sweet and Sassy Goods Review and Giveaway

Do you want to know the way to my heart? I don't need diamonds, clothes, or fancy chocolate...I just want a good cookie! Cookies are my weakness, but I will own it :D
I have found the goddess of cookies: Dawn of Sweet and Sassy Goods. Dawn creates delicious cookies and hand decorates them better than any bakery that I've been in! She creates cookies for any occasion: baby showers, holidays, or just because! She also creates cakes and cupcakes she sells locally, but she took her cookie business to the wonderful world of Etsy and started Sweet and Sassy Goods!

I was so happy to do a review of my choice of cookie and design. I chose the Acorns and Leaves design, and did half in chocolate and half in vanilla. They arrived relatively fast, and I did not have any broken cookies! I know that is a risk you take, and I would have been fine if they had broke (because let's face it, a broken cookie is still a good cookie :D) but thankfully Dawn packaged them really well!
I had to wait a few days to try the cookies, not because I wanted to, but because I was sick and I could not taste anything!! I didn't want to eat my cookie and not enjoy it, so once I was better, I dug in. The cookie tasted fresh, even after being packaged for a few days. The vanilla was for sure my favorite, it reminded me of the sugar cookies my grandma used to make! The chocolate was just as tasty, and the favorite of my 3 year old! Her detailed frost job was amazing, it looked like a painting! These cookies were not only delicious, but beautiful too!
As well as decorating beautiful sugar cookies in your choice of flavor: Vanilla,Almond,Lemon,Orange,Raspberry,Chocolate, and Buttered Rum (non alcoholic)
But she also makes gourmet cookies: White chocolate cran- oat, cinnamon roll cookies, and peanut butter cookies. YUM!

Organic Ergo Baby Carrier Giveaway!!

I purchased my Organic Ergo Baby Carrier in June, and it has been my constant companion when I am out and about with my boys! I only wish I had made the purchase sooner, this carrier is such a God send. It's great on the days my oldest goes to preschool and has so much to bring home, I can put the baby on my back, hold my preschoolers hand in one hand and hold his backpack in the other. My 1 yr old is a big boy, he is pushing 25 lbs, and he's a new walker so I don't trust him to walk himself anywhere just yet. I fell in love with baby wearing when my oldest was a baby, and I haven't looked back since. Never again will I lug around those awkward infant car seats while trying to hold the hand of a toddler!

I love a lazy day!

I'm having a wonderful day! Well, minus the fact I'm dealing with a blocked milk duct that hurts like the dickens, but other than that-today is awesome!
Today was the first time in months that Cooper woke up and got out of bed on his own, w/o crying or screaming for me to get him. He happily came in my room where the rest of us were awake and we all cuddled and laughed and played. My husband had to stop by his place of work to check on something, so the boys and I went outside. I'm loving the feeling of fall in the air!! Cooper was busy pretending to be a secret agent and sneaking in and out of the bushes and trees, while I let go of my obsessive need to keep my kids clean and let Benny play in a mud puddle. We came in for lunch and a quick bath and Bennett is down for a nap while Cooper and my husband are at the store. It's quiet, and a nice breeze is coming in the window. My house isn't spotless, but picked up and I'm being lazy-and loving it!

Oh, and I got my hair cut! It's the shortest I've ever had it, and it's going to take some time to get used to, hopefully I can style it like my hairdresser did and it won't be so bad! (ignore my mess of a desk, I was paying bills!)

While I'm proud of my "mom" body and the fact that I nourished and grew two beautiful boys in it, the mess I was left with isn't so pretty. I was lucky that I was able to lose all of the weight I gained while pregnant, but the fact that I gained 75 lbs left my skin stretched and saggy.

I was able to review the ShaToBu High Waist to Knee Shaper. I chose this particular for a few reasons-it would cover and work on the areas I'm having the most trouble with, and it would smooth out all of my insecurities just in time for a very special date night with my husband. We are going out sans children to a black tie event next month, and I've been so worried about what dress I'm going to wear, hoping to find one that won't make me look pregnant, and not be too matronly/too old for my taste. With the ShaToBu High Waist to Knee shaper, I can wear any dress I want! I chose the size best suited for my weight range, and I also chose the Buff color. That way I can have my pick of dress color without worrying if my underwear will be seen through my dress! I was a bit nervous when I opened the box to my shaper, it looked very small! But I was able to put it on with ease, it goes on just like panty hose, and it was a perfect fit! It is comfortable, and it stayed in place! That is my  number one complaint about any other shapewear I have tried, they always fall down and bunch up under what I'm wearing-which can be embarrassing, because I really don't want people to know the real secret to my slim figure :D That will never be a problem with ShaToBu, their waist and knee bands are non binding, and they prevent any rolling, pinching or bulging!

The High Waist to Knee Shaper gave me that much desired hour glass figure I've been missing for a few years! It smoothed over the love handle area and of course covered the dreaded tummy sag!

CSN Stores review and giveaway!

I am so excited to work CSN Stores once again. They truly are a one stop shop for everything you need. CSN Stores has been my go to place for anything we've needed for our home improvement. They have a fantastic selection, and with over 200 stores to shop from, I know I will find just what I'm looking for!

For this review, I chose to review the Rogers by Stanley Roberts 25 Piece Cutlery and Gadget Set. We did not have any matching cutlery in our house, and our knife set was embarrassing-jagged and missing knives-we were in desperate need of something new! Luckily one of the many stores available at CSN, www.Cookware.com, had a huge selection and we were able to find something that best suited us!
The block itself is made from real wood, and the attached wire bins are very strong. The knives are a great quality, and I was so happy to finally have a strong pair of kitchen scissors! It may sound silly, but I think having matching utensils and cutlery really pulls together a clean look of a kitchen! The Rogers by Stanley Roberts 25 Piece Cutlery and Gadget Set does not take up a lot of room, it sits perfectly next to my stove. I love how it ties in with the look of my kitchen, I have black and white appliances, so it doesn't look out of place. Like anything else I've bought from CSN Stores, I use this set every day. I'm so thankful to have found CSN Stores, you can believe that we are utilizing them for our remodeling needs!!

BlueBoat Photo Review and Giveaway

I love all things art. While I'm not very talented, my whole family are artists. My sister sculpts and paints, my mom is a painter, my dad is a photographer-through them I've learned to appreciate every artist I've come across and see the beauty in their work.
One amazing artist I've come to know is Leslie at BlueBoat Photo. She is so gifted, her work is beautiful! She is a photographer, but on top of that, she turns her photos into one of a kind works of art. Like me, she is a stay at home mom of two kids and she has utilized her skills into an awesome business and created her Etsy shop, BlueBoat Photo.She creates with her art Prints, Collections, Photo Reproductions, Cards and Paper Goods.

Leslie sent me a gorgeous piece for review. First, she wrapped the piece so beautifully and with great care-that's very reassuring when buying something fragile.She created a photo reproduction out of her own photograph of a flower and recreated it to look like an oil painting. and than behind the picture is a beautiful quote from Romeo and Juliet in a romantic script printed on ivory stock. She finished it off with a vintage matte and frame, both well loved and I think with a story of their own! The picture I took doesn't do it justice (clearly you can see I'm not a professional photographer!) Her work is stunning! The thought process that must go into this, it really says a lot about her as a person I think. I'm so thrilled to own such beautiful artwork, and I'm putting on my wishlist more of what Leslie has to offer at BlueBoat Photo.

Humidifiers are an absolute must in my house. The air is so dry in this old house, and with 3 out of the 4 members of my family (my boys and myself) suffering from bad seasonal/environmental allergies, we really need the moist air! If our furnace was an updated one, it would likely have a humidifier in it, helping keep the balance in the air, but our house does not have that so we rely heavily on a portable humidifier. My review for Air-O-Swiss couldn't have happened at a better time. My son recently started school, and he came home from his first day with a terrible cold! So you know that was passed around to everyone! We took turns with the AOS 7135 in our rooms, and it really helped ease the coughing and helped us breath a lot better at night.
The directions to set up the humidifier are very clear, so I had no trouble getting everything set up. The digital LCD screen is very easy to operate, the manual does a great job of explaining how to run this amazing machine! I love that the tank is clear so you can see the water level. And like I mentioned before, this Ultrasonic Humidifier is very hygienic-it destroys most microbes and eliminates bacteria, even if the water is sitting inside for extended periods of time (up to a year!!) As a mom of two boys, changing the water is not real high on my priority list, so it's nice to know I don't have to worry about compromising the health of my kids by using this  humidifier. That is the downfall of most other brands I have tried-after one or two nights, you can smell the mildew in the tank. The paper filters get a build up mold and mildew so fast, it's not even worth turning on and using. That will never be a problem with our AOS 7135, and I am so grateful to have this technology in our house, because when it comes to the health of  my family-I truly want the best, and the best is Air-O-Swiss!

ToiletTree Products Fogless Shower Mirror Review and Giveaway!

I am constantly on the lookout for bathroom accessories and decor for our new bathroom that is in the process of being finished upstairs. I am having so much fun finding new items that I know will be a perfect fit for us, and one gadget I came across was the Fogless Shower Mirror from ToiletTree Products. I can honestly say I've never tried any other "fogless" product because I was always skeptical of how well it would actually work. I can say for sure that the Fogless Shower Mirror from ToiletTree Products is awesome, and it does just what it says it does! That makes this mirror work is simple: just add water to the easy fill resorvroir and the water "neutralizes the mirror and air temperature to eliminate fogging." This mirror will stay fogless for LIFE! The set up was really easy, it's pretty fool proof! I filled the mirror, and attached it to the frame. You can adjust the frame so you can get the best view for whatever it is you need to do-shave, tweeze, or applying your makeup! The silicone attaches and sticks to most wall surfaces, and amazingly it does not do any damage when trying to remove it! My husband was the first one to try this mirror when he shaves in the  morning before work. He is usually so skeptical when it comes to products like this, and even he was impressed that it worked so well! I use it when I'm putting in my contacts after my shower, and I love that I can get an up close view to see what I"m doing, instead of craning and straining my body leaning over my sink to try and look into our mirror there. I'm very much near sighted, so the closer I can get, the better I can see! The Fogless Shower Mirror is absolutely perfect for me with my poor vision, there is no doubt about it!

There are other great features of the Fogless Shower Mirror by ToiletTree Products. It comes with a small squeegee that stores right on the mirror to wipe away any water droplets. It's also rust proof and shatter proof, which is very reassuring to me in case the mirror finds itself in the hands of a certain 3 yr old boy in my house! I can't wait for our remodel to be finished so I can add this mirror to our new bathroom-for now, it has a home in our old bathroom, where it is used multiple times a day!
