And we're back-Disney recap!

What a whirlwind vacation we had!! Florida is JUST what the doctor ordered, Cooper and I had the best time! And my little Benny did so great at Grandmas house, my husband couldn't take time off of work due to an important project so Bennett spent some quality time with family in MI.
Cooper did fantastic on his first plane ride (I hate flying, so I'm so glad he enjoyed it!)
Disney really and truly is a magical place! I even had a little tear in my eyes when I saw all the princesses :D
Cooper met some of his favorite characters, let me tell you about meeting Aladdin though-
Cooper told Aladdin that he wants to be just like him when he grows up, and Aladdin got down on his knees and told Cooper all about being Aladdin-special tricks, what to say and how to talk, and how to treat the princess right! Then he let him wear part of his costume for our picture, he said he had to look the part! That made me cry too!! It was the best day. We went to the Tampa zoo the next day and fed the stingrays and went to the beach on our last day. It was a great trip, and I just wanted to share some pictures with you all!

An update on life

My blog has taken a back seat lately, as I'm sure you can tell.
It's true what they say, bad things come in threes.
My dad is healing well from his stroke, and I'm so proud of all he has accomplished so far, but he has so much hard work ahead of him. I just want to thank you all again for all your good thoughts and prayers.
Last week, my sisters best friend (who is my husbands cousin as well) suddenly passed away. Her friends and family are just reeling...she was only 22 years old and leaves behind her husband and her 4 month old daughter.
Then a few days later, I lost an uncle to a massive heart attack.
My emotional state of mind has been shot.
Be patient with me as I get my footing.
My special trip to Disney is this weekend, and I've been doing my best to keep a smile on my face for my son who is so looking forward to this trip!
I am hoping I'll be able to start anew with a better attitude and a better outlook on life next week.
I just ask for your prayers for Joey and Olivea, as they now have a whole new life they didn't expect. Joey is a man of faith, I have never met such faith filled people as his family so I know he has a great support system. I think I feel so sad b/c I am a mother, and I just can't fathom what that pain must be like (to lose your mother). I lost my biological father when I was 8 years old and it was not easy.
Thank you my friends, for all you do!

How was your Mother's Day?

I had a quiet weekend at home with my boys this Mother's Day weekend. The weather was beautiful, we played outside all weekend, went on walks, bike rides, and wagon rides...went for ice cream, played at the park and grilled our meals. I made my own Mothers Day breakfast-we had crepes, so yummy!!
I kind of think my hubby forgot it was Mother's Day though (granted I'm not his mother!). But treating me to ice cream does tend to help me forget  that :D
Well, okay, I did get the sweetest gift from my oldest-something he made at school. It melted my heart!!

I just love my boys so much, I'm so honored to be their mother. I couldn't have asked for better kids.

Here is a pic of my babies and me on Mother's Day

I hope all of you moms out there had a wonderful weekend, and if you're not a mother I hope you were able to celebrate with your family this weekend if it's something that you are able to do.
I'm blessed to have two wonderful mothers and I am thankful for them every day.

Eazy-Bandz Review and Giveaway!

It's not often that I have my friends in real life insist I review a product on my blog!
My friend Elizabeth introduced me to Eazy-Bandz and I'm so glad she did!
Eazy-Bandz are fantastically well made headbands made right here in the USA! Based out of KY, this new company has had some amazing feedback right out of the gate, and I'm honored to introduce to share my take on them.
What makes Eazy-Bandz different from other brands of headbands?
From the website:

  • Double reinforced stitching on each end to secure elastic.
  • "Back-Stitching" reinforcement at beginning and end of EVERY seam.
  • Heavy duty elastic.
  • Non-slip velvet backing.
  • Pre-glued backing to assure alignment and durability.
  • All ends of velvet and ribbon are high temperature heat sealed to prevent and eliminate unraveling or fraying.
  • Ribbon ends are folded in for added strength and clean appearance.
  • Extra ribbon length to assure headband extends behind ears for a great look.
  • Washable (hand wash or machine wash delicate and air dry)

I was sent three beautiful Eazy-Bandz to review. Each fit my head perfectly! Eazy-Bandz had an easy to read sizing guide that allowed me to get just the right fit.

I've worn my Eazy-Bandz a few times now, and I have not had any issues with them slipping off. What I love the most is that they are comfortable! The standard U-shaped bands give me headaches, they put pressure behind my ears and I can't wear them long. I've been able to wear my Eazy-Bandz all day with no problems or pain! I've even wore them while running with no slippage!!
I'm loving the fit, the style, and the comfort of Eazy-Bandz! These are great for busy moms, active woman, girls, teens, heck they've even made them for men!
I highly recommend this company, the customer service is phenomenol, and the quality is top notch!!

Win it! TWO lucky readers will win a coupon code worth $12.50 from Eazy-Bandz!

Mandatory Entry: Check out the Eazy Bandz website and tell me something you learned or a favorite style you like!

Book Review: Rocket Town by Bob Logan

I don't often do book reviews because let's face it, my time is spent: chasing after two boys, two cats, one husband, and finding a brief moment to take a shower...I don't often make time to read a novel these days :(
But I could not pass down the opportunity to review a children's book! My boys LOVE to read, it's a daily ritual in our house to read several books throughout the day.
I received the book "Rocket Town" by Bob Logan for review, and it did not disappoint!
Each page is colorful, and really kept my boys attention!
It was easy to read, and we've read it so much, my 4 year old has it memorized!!

My little book worm!

Rocket Town is a children's book that is about an astronaut and his dog driving his pickup/rocket through Rocket Town! If you're child loves to use their imagination (what child doesn't?) than this book will sure entertain everyone who opens it up!
About the Author/Illustrator: Bob Logan is  a talented artist who has worked on such films as "Madagascar, Open Season, and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" and is currently working on the film "Puss in Boots"
Pasadena Star News calls Rocket Town“...a blast for children ages 1 – 5... Simple text and retro-pop illustrations make the journey one kids (and parents) will want to take again and again.
